Jordan Pollard Marie Knueven Matt McAllister |
Jordan Pollard is a jazz pianist originally from Minnesota, where she started gigging at age 15. From 2006-2012 she gigged and taught in San Antonio TX, including an original works group called the San Antonio Jazz Workshop. She’s been local to Cincinnati since 2012 where she freelances – some of her reoccurring venues include Dee Felice Cafe, Blue Note Bistro, Greenwich, Schwartz’s Point Jazz & Acoustic Club, and she can be seen weekly on Sundays with Ron Enyard at Lydia’s on Ludlow and on Mondays at the Stanley’s Pub Jazz Jam.
Jordan earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from the University of MN-Duluth and a Masters of Music in Jazz Studies from UC’s College-Conservatory of Music. During her studies, Jordan was fortunate to have numerous opportunities to travel, perform with top-tier professionals, and even take occasional lessons from pianists Billy Taylor, Kenny Werner, and George Cables.
