Michaela Haawètyuwitsa Owen is an Indigenous fashion designer and multi-media artist specializing in upcycled and sustainable art. She studied fashion/apparel design at Parsons Paris – The New School, and graduated with a BFA in Fine Arts at the University of Cincinnati’s School of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. Her work is grounded in sustainability, community, and Indigenous women’s empowerment. Michaela currently lives in Cincinnati, OH with her plants.
